Robert Watson of the Fairview Alpha community has been a leader in the surrounding area for organizing benefits for the past 3 decades. In January, he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Laryngeal Cancer. Now it is time for our community to help support Robert with our prayers, friendship and financially.
People that Robert has helped in the past are coming forward to sale raffle tickets, donate items as prizes for the Fishing Tournament and the live auction, donating their time the day of the event through cooking, music and anything needed to show Robert and his family love and appreciation.
There will be volunteers contacting local businesses and individuals for donations for the event to include water, soft drinks, Gatorade, items for the live auction and items for prizes for the bass tournament and cakes for the cake walk. Any donation by businesses or individuals will be greatly appreciated.
Life Share of Shreveport will be onsite near the Pavilion for blood donors to give blood in honor of Robert.
There will be no gate charge for those entering the resort for the Benefit. A donation jar for Robert will be setup at the Pavilion for anyone that wants to give any extra funds to help Robert.
These events will take place Saturday March 30th at Grand Bayou Resort.
