
Riverdale Academy posted that Cookie dough orders due back in the office on 3/14. In case you didn’t know-Booster Club helps fund the educational needs and expenses of Rally, Accelerated Reader, Reading Fair, Star Testing, and ACT-ASPIRE. These are just a few of the expenses Booster Club is able to fund throughout each school year.
Here is the latest boat launch status from the Red River Waterway Commission: The public boat launches at Coushatta, Red Oak, Grand Ecore, Natchitoches, Montgomery, St. Maurice, Boyce, Fort Buhlow, Lock & Dam 2, Poland, & Ben Routh Recreation areas are now open. All other boat launches remain closed.
The Creole Heritage Center at Northwestern State University will host an Open House from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 in Kyser Hall Room 116. Vendor booths will feature arts, crafts, jewelry, books, magazines, sweets and treats, informative exhibits and more. Refreshments will be served, and door prizes will be awarded.
Results of the 2019 Northwest Louisiana District Literary Rally hosted by Northwestern State University have been released. Students from high schools in central and northwest Louisiana participated in the Rally, which is held each year to qualify academically talented students for the state competition at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge on April 6.
From Red River High, Ashley Evans was a medal winner in Business English.
Students qualifying to attend the State Rally Division 3 from Red River are Shaniya Beavers in Accounting and Sagar Patel in Health. Riverdale Academy is sending three students to the State Rally in Division 4. They are Brailee Vaughn in Advanced Math-Func. & Stats, Adam Bryant in Chemistry, and Matthew Seales in Geometry.
