Two meetings of local governing bodies are scheduled next week. The Red River Parish School Board will meet on Monday at 6:30 pm in the Administration Building on Alonzo Street. The Town Council meets at 5:30 pm on Tuesday. They meet at Town Hall. Both meetings are open to the public.

Cowboy Church reminds everyone to bring your lawn chairs Sunday March 10th at 5:00 pm. That is the time for the awards to be given out from the recent Playday series. And the Summer Playday schedule is out. The dates are April 14th, May 19th, June 9th July 14th and August 11th.

Our former US Congressman, John Fleming, has been confirmed by the US Senate as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development. Both Louisiana Senators voted in favor of Fleming’s confirmation. Final Senate vote was 67-30.
