Each month Red River Schools honors an Employee of the Month. For November that employee is Tamela Teel, a Para-Professional at Springville Education Center.
Teel was presented her award at the November meeting of the School Board.
The principal at SEC, Jacqueline Daniels nominated Teel. Daniels said, “Mrs. Teel works with Mr. Billy Henry, Sr., and our LAA1 students. These are very unique children that often present very different challenges. Mrs. Teel handles them with grace, care and an awareness of their possibilities.”
“She has a great rapport with her students holding them accountable but encouraging them to excel and gain a greater sense of independence and self-efficacy,” added Daniels. She called Teel “a great asset to the LAA1 program, SEC, and Red River Parish Schools.”
Mrs. Teal was presented a plaque and goodie bag from Taylor & Sons Insurance, represented at the meeting by Aquila Dunn.
