College scouts from around the nation are interested in Red River Basketball players. Assistant Basketball Coach Charski McDonald gave us an update of scouting activity.
McDonald’s son Emareyon is an outstanding sophomore star for the Bulldogs. McDonald said, “On a recent weekend there was a game where three boys received scholarship offers and got some notice from colleges.” Emareyon McDonald got an offer from the University of Georgetown and he already has an offer from Tulane University. Other schools in contact with him are ULL, South Alabama, Au burn, Ole Miss, Arizona State, and NSU
McDonald said, “He also had interest from the University of Arkansas, University of Houston, University of New Orleans, and LSU.” Emareyon McDonald made significant contributions to the Bulldog’s victory in winning the Bistineau Classic in Doyline last Saturday night.
Also contributing to the Bulldog win were Jesse Davis and Gakkareon McDonald. McDonald has had interest from Centenary and LSU Eunice. Jesse Davis has interest from Bossier Parish Community College in addition to scholarship offers from Southern Arkansas, LSU Alexandria, University of Houston, and LSU Eunice.
Another Bulldog, Jalen McDonald has LSU Eunice interested in his play.
Coach McDonald said the high school coaching staff is working with the boys as well as different coaches both within and outside of Louisiana. He said, “We are trying to get these kids and others looked at.”
