Establishments in Red River Parish that sell alcoholic beverages had their liquor licenses renewed for another year. The Police Jury acted at the November meeting to OK licenses for Country Market & Deli, Kash Korner, Silver Dollar Liquor, Crossroad’s Country Store, Armadillo Grill and Food Junction.
Also on the agenda last Monday night was discussion of finding a new Chief Deputy for the Registrar of Voters. Recently Debra Jones was appointed to Registrar.
Supervisor Jessie Davis told fellow jurors that they are working on new policies and procedures concerning the Audit. And they are still working on updating the parish Personnel Policy. Davis says the two items go together.
And the jury received an update on the new ambulance that is being obtained. Davis said it is now being built. When it arrives in the parish more work will need to be done to outfit it properly.
