This is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Red River Junior High is holding Pink Out Games Thursday night. Sequita Chapman gave the Journal the scoop on the day-long events.
There will be two basketball games as the Junior High hosts Ringgold. The 6th and 7th grade boys will play Ringgold’s 6th and 7th grade boys in the first game. That will be followed by a contest between the two schools 8th graders. The games begin at 5:00 pm Thursday evening.
Thursday is “Pink Out” day at the Junior High. Students are being encouraged to wear pink to school, and then to the ball games. Chapman said, “October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We would like everyone to wear pink shirts.” The theme of the day is “Hope for the Fighters. Peace for the Survivors. Prayers for the Taken.”
