Coushatta was well represented at a Nurses Week celebration on Tuesday. The Nursing Supervisor at the Red River Parish Health Unit, Yashica Turner and other nurses from across Louisiana met in Alexandria for the state Reproductive Health meeting.

Turner told The Journal there were nurses from the state Office of Public Health and the state leadership in attendance. The Keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Rebekah Gee.

In appreciation for all they do, the nurses were presented a cake as part of the National Nurses Week observation at the state Reproductive Health meeting.
