The incoming minister of First Church and Wesley Chapel United Methodist Churches says he will be involved with the community. Recently members of the two churches had the opportunity to meet-and-greet the Rev. Dr. Curtis Carroll.
Carroll said he is excited about coming back to Coushatta. He went to Coushatta High School while a teenager. His father served as minister at First Methodist at the time.
“I want to meet with the Police Jury, Town Council and everyone else in town” said Carroll. “I plan on getting out into the community.”
Rev. Carroll will move to town in July. Interim pastor Doug Cain has served several months, coming out of retirement to fill in. The churches have been without their pastor since Billy Turner died last July.
